My Background
Since 2002, I have enjoyed customizing massage sessions to fit my clients’ individual needs. I utilize my extensive background in multiple modalities of massage and body movement to help people de-stress, rejuvenate, and resolve acute, sub-acute, and chronic soft-tissue injuries, including effective pre- and post-surgery treatments. Learn more about the modalities I use here.
Prior to massage school, I trained at an elite level in athletics, Pilates, and dance. I continue my development in these areas today. In 2002, I decided to further my pursuit of body excellence by completing massage school at Chicago School of Massage Therapy.
Shortly after graduation, I began private practice and became the lead massage therapy instructor at my alma mater, The Chicago School of Massage Therapy Cortiva Institute. There, I redesigned the massage program with senior staff. I furthered my own private practice by working under renowned physical therapist Linda Tremain and at Good Shepherd Hospital’s Health and Fitness division. During this time, I learned countless skills and techniques in the areas of rehabilitation and therapeutic massage.
In 2006, I moved to New Orleans. I worked as the lead massage therapist at Belladonna Day Spa and soon after landed in my niche at Lander’s physical therapy. In 2008, I launched my private practice and joined the staff at Crane Rehab Center, a physical therapy group with a focus on multiple disciplinary healing. I also broadened my scope of education with training in Pilates and TRX.
I consider myself a lifelong learner and expert of body mechanics and movement, and have become certified in countless body modalities so that I can assist my clients in maximum recovery and healing.
